McOpera Brass were out and about in Strathaven on December 6th, celebrating Christmas with locals at the Strathaven Scout and Guide Centre. Thanks to the sponsorship of a local businessman Tom Barbour, all the proceeds of the concert will go towards the upkeep of the hall, including repairs to the floor and roof.
The concert was a great success, with audience participation and fun for all the family. McOpera Brass were joined by BBCSSO Principal Trumpet Mark O’Keeffe, with the rest of the line up being McOpera trumpet player Simon Bird, horn player Sue Baxendale, trombonist Alan Pash, and our McOpera Associate Member, Craig Anderson.
